Georgia · Junk removal
Counties and districts
These are the junk removal notes that exist, each because the rule changes. A house in Georgia can still send from the state page if your city is not listed. The list is not a service area. It is the set of places where the dump, the curb, the storm split, the permit, the street, or the dock is different enough to change the day.
| Note | The difference | Figure named |
|---|---|---|
| Fulton County | Merk Road sort and manifest over 1 ton | $58.00 per ton |
| DeKalb County | Eviction junk stays off the residential curb | $63.00 per ton commercial |
| Chatham County | Storm debris apart from furniture | $42.50 per ton residential bulky |
| Richmond County | Transporter decal and military manifest | $48.00 per ton |
| Buckhead | Heavy truck, two hours, then a street permit | No per-ton fee named |
| Perimeter Center | Dock under 11 ft 6 in and a liability certificate | No per-ton fee named |
Fulton County junk removal
Merk Road Transfer Station is a sort, not a curb. Metals, appliances, and yard debris come apart before arrival, and bulk yard waste mixed with furniture is the banned load. Commercial haulers over one ton carry a manifest. The tip is $58.00 per ton. Skip it and the scale house can reject the truck, add up to $500, or turn it away. DeKalb’s landfill lanes are a different machine.
DeKalb County junk removal
Section 22-27 is about the curb. A commercial crew clearing an evicted tenant does not use a residential collection point. The truck goes to Seminole Road with a tare ticket and a sanitation permit. The commercial tip is $63.00 per ton. An illegal deposit can mean an impounded trailer or $1,000. A Perimeter Center tower still sits in this county, and then adds a dock the house does not have.
Chatham County junk removal
Coastal estates separate limbs and yard debris from furnishings, and they separate storm-damaged material from bulky furniture before Dean Forest. Residential bulky waste is $42.50 per ton. A mixed load can be refused or charged a double scale fee. The cited chapter does not price paint or garage chemicals. Effingham and Bryan will not take a commercial triple-axle as a backup plan, and they do not have pages here.
Richmond County junk removal
Augusta-Richmond Section 5-2-12 is a transporter permit, a decal, and a manifest for military move-out junk around Fort Eisenhower. The facility is the Augusta landfill at $48.00 per ton. Skip the paper and the Marshal’s Office can cite you and the landfill can revoke the privilege. Columbia County’s registration near Evans and Grovetown is a different requirement and not a page on this host.
Buckhead estate junk removal
The constraint is the street. On Tuxedo Road and West Paces Ferry, a truck over 26,000 pounds gets two hours without a city street use permit. APD code enforcement can ticket and tow. Multi-truck estates are scheduled 24 to 48 hours ahead, partly so donation pieces can be split from the dump load. No Buckhead per-ton fee is named. Sandy Springs parking rules differ, and Sandy Springs is not a route.
Perimeter Center junk removal
Towers want a freight elevator, a dock under 11 feet 6 inches, and a $1 million / $2 million liability certificate on an accord form 24 hours before the elevator is held. The dock is reserved 24 to 48 hours ahead for a two-hour window. Miss it and the slot is cancelled. A DeKalb or Fulton house does not need that certificate. The landfill rule can still apply after the truck leaves the building.
Questions people ask before they send the job
Why do only some Georgia places have a junk removal page?
Because the next place would still be true if you only swapped the name. Fulton has Merk Road, a manifest over one ton, and $58.00 per ton. DeKalb has a curb ban and $63.00 per ton at Seminole Road. Chatham has a storm split and $42.50 per ton at Dean Forest. Richmond has a transporter decal and $48.00 per ton. Buckhead has a two-hour street clock. Perimeter Center has a dock and a certificate. A suburb with none of those differences does not get a URL.
Does Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Dunwoody, or Marietta have a page?
No. Those cities are not routes. A lead from them still sends. Use the county or district note that matches the constraint: the dump rule if you are arguing about a landfill, the Buckhead note if the street is the problem, the Perimeter Center note if the dock is the problem. Do not look for a doorway page that repeats a county paragraph under a city name.
Which note covers an estate near Savannah?
Chatham County, if the issue is Dean Forest, storm debris, and keeping limbs out of the furniture. The residential bulky figure there is $42.50 per ton. Effingham and Bryan are the rural neighbors that refuse commercial triple-axle trailers, and they do not have pages here. Do not use the Augusta permit note for a coastal sort.
Which note covers a Buckhead driveway or a Perimeter tower?
Buckhead if the truck has to live with a two-hour residential street limit over 26,000 pounds. Perimeter Center if the load has to clear a dock under 11 feet 6 inches and a liability certificate before a freight elevator. Both can still meet a county landfill rule after the truck is loaded. The access note does not erase Fulton or DeKalb disposal.
